About the Event

We're all taught in school that Alsace-Lorraine is a contiguous region in France. But in the wine world, Alsace and Lorraine are actually two separate entities. And while Alsace is well-known and widely distributed, Lorraine is considerably rarer in the market (even within France itself), with the Cotes de Toul being the major production region within the appellation. And Lelievre is undoubtedly one of the most important wineries in this tiny wine region.

As small as it is, Cork and Cap has nevertheless been lucky enough to feature these wines that are typically crafted from grapes such as Auxerrois and Gamay. They are tasty, accessible, and affordable, and Liz from McCarus Beverage Co. will be on hand this Saturday to introduce you to them!

And since we couldn't quite round out the tasting with the current in-stock wines from Lelievre, we decided to also feature a delicious, summery Pinot Noir from nearby Alsace as well. Come by to taste all of these cool climate gems this Saturday, and impress your friends with how hip you are to the more obscure regions of France!

Cork and Cap Saturday tastings are always FREE, casual, drop-in affairs.
